17th Jan 2021: Doto with Melvin

If I were to choose only 2 games that I will be able to play for the rest of my life, it will be Audition (Next Level or whatever server exist), and Dota2.

Today, I got a Dota2 lesson. It was helpful to a certain extent as I recap on the basics. I also picked up a new Hero, Shadow Shaman.

Since I got some time before bed time, I decided to play one round on my own. I started a Medium bots game and Mel checked in on me.

With that, we started a Medium bot. I picked Shadow Shaman and Mel picked Pudge.

Playing with Mel is always so chill. HAHAHA. Though years passed, he is still as patient and encouraging as I remembered.

When I got a kill, he's use the "affirmative" wheel chat. When I got kills, he would say "stronk" HAHAHAH. It was honestly funny cuz the credits definitely didn't go to me but he'd be so encouraging.

Throughout the game, he explained the new updates to me via the game chat. Things like the outpost, the neutral items, things I could buy. How the items work.

Towards late games, he asked me to take a neutral item -- Psychic Headband (I think) -- and asked me to try it out cuz it has an active ability which he never see before also.

If I am not wrong, he was pulling the jungle creep out to me so I can try it but I insisted on trying out on an enemy hero. He said, "They're all dying."

To which I agreed. And he said, "The bots don't even need us."

To which I agreed again HAHAHAHA.

Eventually I did manage to try the active ability of Psychic Headband. LOL. The effect was cute! Just pushing the enemy unit away. Dotoing with Melvin is always so educational and enjoyable hehe!

Anyway, we won. And he claimed I bully the bots. But the stats say otherwise la.

It was a good game.

I love Doto. Doto for life. Regardless of how long I've been away from it, Doto is a game I'll always hold dear to me. It means more than just a game.
