Some Things Just Ain't Meant To Be

Had a dream about Eddie, my first boyfriend. Somehow I was at a friend’s gathering. Mainly with people I don’t know. Suddenly, a familiar face stepped into the house and he immediately came to hug me, calling my name. Everyone looked astounded, not expecting him to know me (I was being quite a loner at the gathering). I know instantly who he is because his face didn’t change. The only thing was that he looked skinner. Much skinner, close to bones. After he let go of me, the hosts started covering him up with layers of blanket because he was cold. It was obvious that he was sick and they knew. Apparently, the hosts and Eddie had knew each other for a long duration. Socialising was tiring, especially since everyone knew everyone but me. I asked to retreat into a room to rest. I was lying on a mattress on the floor under the blanket when Eddie joined me, lying down next to me under the covers. He started talking about how he knew them and why he’s like that. He was sick, and the...

23th Nov 2018: Dinner with Wilson after work

This week has been pretty eventful. Eventful because I have been having dinner with a different group of people after work every evening lol! Wilson was the chosen one this evening. Just kidding. We already had this planned for quite some time, since earlier this month or even before that. He started a new venture and we wanted to see how I can help in any way. Originally, I had this bit of concern that it might be awkward. Out of Boon, Gavin and Wilson, I talk to Wilson the least. Our interests are probably the most different too. Surprisingly, it was everything but. He was late for dinner and was super apologetic about it. We caught up a little about what we have been doing and how everything is going for everyone.

22th Nov 2018: Dinner with Keith and Lotti after work

Work was pretty productive, watching the machines getting readier to be deployed every day. I'm trying my best to make sure they are working alright but until now, I am still quite worried about missing things out. Hopefully though, the machines will perform smoothly when they're deployed. Trying to aid future self by updating the checklist of what to go through and check for, plus how to improve the checklist. Keith asked me out for dinner the other day. Not wanting to travel too far, I suggested Bak Kut Teh at Chinatown Point, to which he agreed. I invited Lotti to join also, the more the merrier! Less chance of awkward silences HAHAHA. Not that I think it would be that awkward. Keith was late!!! But he offered to pay for dinner. I paid him back though. HAHA. Luckily Lenson helped pack the keychain I bought for him into my bag else I would have forgotten. Thoughtful Lenson is thoughtful! We then moved on to dessert. Where we tried pancakes and some choco lava cake thi...

19th Nov 2018: Back to work after honeymoon, Dinner at home

I survived today fine surprisingly! Was supposed to reach back Singapore by 12am today. About there. So that Lenson and I could still go home and have some rest before heading to work. Due to a flight delay from Canada to Hong Kong, we missed the connecting flight from Hong Kong to Singapore. The flight departing from HK to SG was supposed to leave at 8pm and we only disembarked the plane from Canada by 7.52pm. In the end, Cathay Pacific just rebooked us for the next flight at 1.45am and we reached Singapore only around 6am plus. Had breakfast at McDonald's at the airport before heading back to Lenson's house. Lucky for me, I did manage to catch some sleep on the flight from Canada to Hong Kong, during the wait time at Hong Kong, and on the flight from Hong Kong back to Singapore. Although the sleep timing were broken into parts, there was still some rest that I got there. Rested for a bit after reaching home before going for a shower and heading to work. Lenson drove...
