30th Sep 2018: Marvel's Exhibition!

Lenson and I went to the Arts Science Museum yesterday in the hopes of being able to check out the Marvel's Exhibition but it was soooooooo crowded. Just the queue to buy tickets alone can take up to maybe half an hour. Not to mention the entrance to the actual exhibition. It was estimated to take about 1-2 hours. So we decided to buy tickets for today instead. It was a challenging decision to decided between sleeping in for a few more hours and getting to skip the queue. That was how we ended up with the earliest timing, 10am lol. I can't tell if it was really worth it. The exhibition was interesting but it was still pretty crowded. Taking pictures was sooooo difficult because everywhere, there are photo bombs. Hahaha. I did like the figurines though! We met up with Ivan for lunch at Suntec. Pretty sure it was more like an expedition to Suntec because we walked all about trying to find a Japanese food place. X_X settled for Sushi Goshin in the end. Worth it! Alway...

22nd Sep 2018: Wedding!

I AM MARRIED!

13th Sep 2018: Verifying Document at ROM!

Thankfully for an understanding boss + management, Lenson and I was able to verify our documents at ROM without much of a hassle. I always thought ROM was pretty huge and looked forward to going there one day myself to check out the various photogenic spot at the "ROM park" (I assumed there was one) but there was no park D: . We waited for about 45 mins before we were able to have our documents verified. There at the counter, we had to take turns raising our right hard to solemnly swear that our documents were true, and we're under no pressure to be there. Something like that but a more lawful tone. Made it just in time for the marriage preparation talk. What I liked about the talk includes the lunch from Kate's Catering, the sometimes funny video animations, and the sort of enthusiasm-filled vibe from the coach. What I didn't like about the talk includes the almost-all-the-time-muffled-audio from the videos without subtitles, some stereotypes the coach ...

12th Sep 2018: Feelings about Konbini

I try to blog every day but it's a challenge because Blogger don't really have an easy to use app. Sadly. Since working, most of my days are pretty ordinary. I wouldn't say mundane because my life is far from that. There's always things happening at work that's share-worthy. One of the reason why I chose to work at Konbini is because of the vibe that I felt for it. Despite knowing that the boss isn't easiest to work with, the work environment is generally still fun. It started with the two interns from NYP, ZT and Zul, especially ZT. He was really funny and easy-going. I felt sad when they left but the batch of interns after them were even better. Jessica was the string that tied everyone together. BH and Brian from SUTD, Raj and Priyam from NUS, Jessica herself and Hakim from NYP. Every day was filled with laughter and I really looked forward to work. Now that that batch of interns left (except for Brian who Jing engaged to work part time), the office...

11th Sep 2018: Trip to IKEA after dinner!

Work was productive I would say. Actually, every day has been productive since Lotti and I took over some of the projects. A lot of things to catch up, a lot of things to get the hang on, and a lot of people to chase of responses. Fortunately, I think Lotti is doing fine. Went back to Lenson's house for dinner. Loved the herbal chicken soup hehe. Lenson and I went to IKEA after dinner to shop for new bedsheets, new pillows, new pillow casings. I miss going out to walk with him when things weren't so busy X_X . Lenson promised that we would have more time to spend on just chilling again after the wedding. Loool. Hope so. Wedding is in 11 days' time!

10th Sep 2018: Dowry Exchange Day!

Lenson came over with Ivan (last minute help) and Xiaoyi (matchmaker). My aunt came later than expected but she eventually did! It was a busy day that our parents spent a lot of time and effort preparing. The preparation included many trips down to the bridal shops to make sure everything needed for the wedding (tradition stuffs to be exact) were gotten. Dowry day was interesting to me cuz, both our mums were there together getting the gifts for each other's family yet they had to keep the gifts they bought until the auspicious day for exchanging. So in short, both mums knew what they were gonna get from each other HAHA. The only thing that was kept secret was everything to do with finance. How much angbao we're giving to who and stuff. My mum said Lenson's family is generous. That made me feel heartened. I've always knew that they were, and I am glad they are today. After everything was done, Lenson and I went for cakes delivery. Lenson and I set o...

06th Sep 2018: Tired Tired Day

Z got a huge scolding today morning. It's not entirely his fault but it's undeniable that there were a lot of areas that he could have done better with the time he was given. J took Lotti and I out for lunch. Curry fish head for the win! The zi char at the coffee shop near our office is really darn good. Rushed back to office after that for meeting with client.

03rd Sep 2018: Lottichu's First Day at Konbini!

Today marks the first day of work for Lottichu and a new intern! They seem to be getting along pretty well. For a start, I had asked them to help with the namecards before Boss gives them heavier tasks related to the on-going projects. Hope to get those namecards sorted out soon. Love that I'd have a travel partner at least from Chinatown to office. And a trusty buddy to work with at a place I'm spending most of my day hours at. :D
