29th May 2018: New Camera Lens, Fort Canning Date, Vesak Celebration
I woke up angry, still mad about the things that Lenny said the night before. It was one of those times where I got really resentful and it didn't help that the words he used and things he said made me feel like there are things he didn't tell me before even though I had given him many chances to say it.
He came over in the morning and spent 1 hour trying to convince me of his sincerity. Apparently, he came over right after I stopped replying this messages. I was so tired I knocked out a short while after putting my phone down. Because I locked my room door, he wasn't able to come in. Lol. I felt bad but I think we might have woke my whole family up if he managed to come into my room and wake me up just to continue talking.
The raging flame was extinguished with his patience and my want to make peace. We headed out for lunch at KFC at Tampines Mart before going to Orchard Centrepoint. Point of being there? Getting new lens for our cameras!
Lenny decided to start using Olympus because he bought one for me the other time. I absolutely adore my camera and wouldn't wanna switch (cuz I'm used to it), so he decided to use back his very very old Olympus. He sold away his Nikon... Haha so now we're using the same brand for body and can share lens!
Technically all the lens and camera are his cuz he bought it lol. We got a wide angle lens for me, and a less wide one for himself.
We signed up for Frasers membership and headed to Guardian when I bought my pore cleansing brush from Medicube (which I think cleans really well). Cheers to being a savvy Singaporean (better way to put it), signing up for membership and all. Lol!
Impromptu date at Fort Canning Park. Shall let pictures do the talking!
If only Singapore's weather wasn't so humid ): . Lenny says he wanna go Battle Box so I guess we will be back at Fort Canning one of these days LOL.
Following Fort Canning Park, our next destination was Bedok Mall. The plan was to meet my mum (and my brother) at 4.45pm but we reached half an hour early so Lenny and I watched a little bit more of Soul Eater before he napped.
We then had dinner at Greendot in the mall. Damn nice okay the vegetarian food!
After that was the mandatory trip to The Buddhist Library. I think I kind of have a wrong attitude towards it this year? I dk. Somehow I feel myself feeling detached from religion of any kind these days.
But I do believe there's a greater power larger out there, and the works of Karma. I just don't like the idea of people being extra holy, kind, or do more good during special festive religious season, and then be the typical humans gossiping about people, criticizing the government and basically complain about every thing.
I don't think I'm extra kind during Vesak. I won't purposely increase my tolerance just because it's Vesak too. The celebration of any religion that teaches people to be kind is still important but people should work beyond being a "role model" only during religious period.
Gah, the ending for this post is so negative.
Anyway, I admire the Buddhist teaching and think it resonates most with me. I also believe in the Law of Attraction, the Universe.
